Big Announcement #2
The other day I made the Big Announcement #1 about adopting our wonderful daughter Natalie Grace. Well now is time for #2. When Lindsey and I came to Bay Area Fellowship 7 years ago it was with the intention of starting a church one day. Bay Area was completely supportive because it is their desire to help start churches. Well we had said that we would probably be here for 5 years and then go and at 5 years in we flew around looking at different cities. However, at the time it was clear that we were not to leave yet and to be faithful at BAF.
So as we continued to do ministry we began to feel that maybe we would not start a church but rather take one over. We had no idea of where that would be and we were making no plans. Then in October of this year my pastor Bil Cornelius approached me about a church in Canton, Ga. After much prayer and counsel we have decided to follow God and we accepted the Lead Pastor position of Revolution Church. It is a great church with a strong history that is 5 years old. People have asked me what is it like and I keep saying that it reminds me of Bay Area at year 5. We are starting at the church in February and will be transitioning the month of January. It is an amazing opportunity and we are completely humbled by all of this.
This is the story of our life and we are really looking forward to planting ourselves in Canton with Revolution. The staff and members are an amazing group of people and have really held things together in the transition from the loss of their former pastor to us. We are looking forward to this move while being grateful for our time at BAF. We have so many friends here and leaving will be tough. My relationship with BAF will change due to the fact that I am not on staff anymore but it will always remain strong. We love our pastor, the staff and will always cherish our time here.
